Andromeda Botanic Gardens

One of the most important botanic gardens in the Caribbean, set in six
acres of constantly varying terrain.

The Arbib Nature and Heritage Trail St Peter

An exciting trail winding through gullies, across working plantations,
through a 19th century fort and along the beach. There are natural
and oral history interpretative signs along the way. Short trail 5.5km,
longer trail 7.5km. Guided hikes only - call to book.
Arlington House
St. Peter
Freshly restored single house and one of our earliest examples of a
Barbadian Town House. The totally interactive Museum opened in
February 2008.
George Washington House

The only place outside the United States of America that young George
Washington visited. The House was opened in January 2007.
Gun Hill Signal Station

Built in 1818, strategically placed (over 750 ft above sea level) to
signal the approach of enemy ships - commanding views.

The Jewish Synagogue and Nidhe Israel Museum
Bridgetown
One of the oldest Synagogues in the Western hemisphere, originally
built in 1654. It has been beautifully restored and is used by the
Jewish community.
Morgan Lewis Sugar Windmill St Andrew

Built in 1727, it is the last working mill of its kind in Barbados and is
the best preserved mill in the Caribbean. It was listed on the American
Express World Monuments Watch 100 Most Endangered Sites in 1996.
Grinding demonstrations monthly from January–July.

Sir Frank Hutson Sugar Museum

The Museum tells of the people, the innovations, the triumphs and
disasters during the development of the sugar industry in Barbados.
From Feb-May you can see sugar being produced. Museum closes
annually from end of July and re opens in January.

Tyrol Cot Heritage Village St Michael

Built in 1854 by renowned local builder William Farnum, the house is
an architectural gem of massive coral stone blocks and ballast brick, a
restrained blend of Palladian and tropical vernacular. The house is
filled with antique furniture and memorabilia. Also, an interactive craft
village, restored slave hut and chattel house museum on the grounds.

Welchman Hall Tropical Forest Reserve St Thomas

A deep, cool valley filled with hundreds of exotic trees and plants
including the rare clove tree and nutmeg species.

Wildey House

Headquarters of the Barbados National Trust, it is a wonderfully
appointed Georgian Great House. Contains a fine collection of antique
furniture, Victorian Bric-a-Brac and historic images and photographs.
