An extraordinary Italian Renaissance Revival mansion
(1859) built for railroad baron/banker William Butler Johnston. The house is technologically advanced for its time and the interior is luxuriously furnished with antiques, artwork, stained glass, faux marble and graining.

McDaniel-Tichenor House

Originally constructed (1887) in the Italian Villa style as the home of former Governor Henry McDaniel and remodelled in 1930 to the present Neoclassical Revival mansion. Much of the original interior plan remains. Furnishings include McDaniel’s bedroom suite, family portraits, and many volumes from the governor’s library. .

A Romanesque Revival mansion built in 1904 for businessman Amos Rhodes. It served as a home for state archives and is now the Georgia Trust headquarters. It features an eclectic blending of Victorian finishes, finely detailed decoration and a series of Civil War commemorative stained glass windows.
