A crofting estate of 5616 acres with outstanding views. The woodland garden provides pleasant sheltered walks beside the shores of Loch Alsh.

Brodie Castle

Set in parkland, the castle contains fine French furniture, porcelain and a major collection of paintings ranging from 17th century.

Miller House & Hugh Miller’s Cottage

The thatched cottage, c.1698, where Hugh Miller, stonemason, geologist, editor and writer was born. The Georgian villa built by his father is now a superb new museum of his life and work.

This outstanding climatically-favoured garden is set on a peninsula on the shores of Loch Ewe and displays many exotic plants.

Strome Castle

Ruined castle situated on a rocky promontory jutting into Loch Carron. The tower remains a heap of rubble but substantial sections of the enclosing wall still stand.

A magnificent estate including the Falls of Glomach and the Five Sisters of Kintail.

The Trust bought this important area in 1993 to protect its wildlife and character, to restore its natural flora and secure one of the most popular east/west paths in the Highlands. The path, now used only by walkers, was once part of the drove road from Skye to Dingwall.
