Fort Shepherd Conservancy Area
A 2200 acre property running 8km along the west side of the Columbia
River. The property is an ecologically unique area with the largest intact
area of very dry, warm Cedar Hemlock in British Columbia. The property
holds rare species of wildlife and in winter is home to deer and elk.
Wycliffe Wildlife Corridor
This 2695 acre protected area is a combination of dry grasslands, river
frontage and rare Ponderosa Pine/bunchgrass habitat. It is an important
wildlife corridor for mule deer and elk, and protects endangered grassland
species.
