A fine example of Restoration country house architecture. The
house, built 1685–88, has fine plasterwork and wood carving, and
collections of portraits, furniture, tapestries, oriental porcelain and

A fine example of a remote chapel with an outdoor baptistry. The
chapel was used by local Baptists as a place of worship and was
extensively altered in appearance during the 19th century.

A small 17th-century manor house, the birthplace and family home
of Sir Isaac Newton, who formulated some of his major works here
during the Plague years (1665–67). An early edition of his Principia
is on display. The orchard includes a descendant of the famous
