Baldwin House The Baldwin House is a two-storey modern post and beam structure
located on the shore of Deer Lake in Burnaby. It is an example of
Burnaby’s post Second World War progressive architecture. Designed by
Arthur Erickson for the Baldwin family, the house blends into the natural
surroundings and the site includes man-made landscape features such as
a reflecting pool.
Centre Creek Located in northeast Surrey, a 3.2km area from Fraser Heights, along the
Surrey upland ridge, to the 176th Street Interchange.
Centre Creek has undergone a restoration project to reclaim the southern
degraded area. The covenant partnership has provided 20 acres of
protected green space and 500 metres of salmon habitat within the
Centre Creek watershed.
Codd Wetland
This 250 acres in the northeast corner of Pitt Meadow BC was collectively
purchased in 2004, providing a safe wildlife refuge for hundreds of
species.
Eagles Estate Heritage Garden 5655 Sperling Avenue, Burnaby BC
The partially woodland Garden is a 1.6 acre sites located on the southeast
shore of Deer Lake. The Garden is home to abundant wildlife and features
stunning views of Deer Lake and the north shore mountains.
Open: daily, dawn till dusk. Interpretive Centre open May to
Thanksgiving, Mon-Sat 9am-5pm.
Thwaytes Landing An impressive 130 acre property located in the Indian Arm, directly
across from the Buntzen Powerhouses. There are steep spectacular cliffs,
rocky beaches and two provincial parks adjoin the Landing. The property
has recreational potential and will provide a gateway to future trails in the
Indian Arm. Access is only by boat.
