Lenger Reserve
Located 16km north, north east of Mannum
Lenger Reserve is a part of an undulating plain consisting of limestone with overlying calcrete. The 95 hectare site is primarily mallee with shruband chenopod understoreys. Saunders Creek cuts a valley through this plain and there are permanent spring-fed waterholes separated by reed beds with River Red Gums. A 100 year old pug and pine stone rubble cottage on the property is of local heritage interest.
Open: daily, closed during the Murraylands fire ban season.

Built in 1864 at the site of South Australia’s first ferry crossing on the Murray River, the Courthouse consists of a courtroom, police station and two cells, stables and loft, post and telegraph office and residential areas. It now operates as a heritage museum, cafe and bed & breakfast.
Open: Thurs-Mon, public and school holidays from 8am.
