Opening and Closing Times

Please allow enough time to enjoy your visits. At many places, the last admission is 30 minutes before closing time. It is also worth noting that some properties, particularly gardens and parks, are closed during inclement weather.

Access and opening and closing times are subject to change, and should be confirmed prior to visiting a property. We urge you to obtain an up-to-date copy of the local National Trust property guidebook or brochure for the country or area you are visiting, or check the individual property information on the websites listed with each country entry in the International Property Guide.

Reciprocal visiting arrangements

Although Australian National Trust membership bestows free access to places listed in the International Property Guide through reciprocal visiting arrangements, please note that in some instances a charge may be levied for special events, parking, or for access to a property. A change in property management or ownership may also result in the application of a charge.

Please bear in mind that free entry for Australian National Trust members to overseas Trust properties is a courtesy, not a right. Some properties listed in the International Property Guide offer free entry to all visitors, not just National Trust members.
