The National Trust owns and protects much of the picturesque and historic St David’s Head and surrounding coastline. The Visitor Centre is situated in the centre of the city of St David’s opposite The Cross (owned by the National Trust). This beautiful stretch of coastline is famous for its sandy beaches, wooded
valleys and lily ponds. The National Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife such as the otter and chough. Pembrokeshire Coast Path offers lakeside and woodland walks. There are wonderful beaches and the area offers archaeology from prehistoric settlement to the 18th century. The area includes Barafundle Beach, Stackpole Quay, Bosherton Lakes, Stackpole Woodlands and coast paths to Trewent Point. Stackpole for Outdoor Learning is an educational eco centre and The Stackpole Centre has holiday accommodation.
