Discover the story of the Acadians’ three hundred year presence on PEI.
There is an interpretive video and exhibits of the Acadian history and
culture. Stroll on the heritage trail where interpretive panels depict the
Arcadian story.

The Museum tells the story of PEI’s historic inshore fishery with displays
and exhibitions that help you travel back to the time. There is a gift shop,
food and beach services and a children’s play village.

Beaconsfield was built in 1877 and is a symbol of Victorian elegance. This
was one of Charlottetown’s finest homes having twenty-five rooms, eight
fireplaces and chandeliers. The house is open to the public for tours.
Open: Year round for tours. Winter hours – Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 12noon-
4pm. Other times by appointment.

Ride the miniature train to experience PEI’s railway. Exhibits include a
large model train collection, recount of the story of railroading on the
Island and a recreated office and waiting room. Visitors can also hike or
bike along the Confederation Trail, a scenic Island route.

Eptek offers regional and Island exhibits displaying themes ranging from
history to art, including periodic displays of paintings by Island artist Dr

The Museum re-lives the story of the ship building industry. The restored
Victorian Yeo House was home of shipbuilder James Yeo Jr., one of the
richest and most influential men in the colony.

Orwell Corner displays the activities of PEI agriculture in the 1890’s. Daily
programming ranges from candle and icecream making to visiting the
general store and the PEI Agricultural Heritage Museum. There is also a
working blacksmith and old schoolhouse.
