This is the oldest continuously inhabited community in the United
States. The adobe houses, plazas and walkways on the 367 foot tall
mesa have been used for nearly 1000 years. Tours provide and
introduction to the art, history and culture of the pueblo and include
the 17th century church San Esteban del Rey. The Haaku Museum
displays the history, art and way of life of the Acoma People.

Villa Finale was originally built in 1876 and restored in the late
1960’s by Walter Mathis who lived there until 2005. The villa houses
and extraordinary collection of items including Napoleonic materials,
art and furniture from Texas artists and American and European
fine and decorative arts. Preservation of the villa has helped
revitalise the beautiful King William neighbourhood.
Visitor Center open Tues 12noon-3.30pm, Wed-Sat 9.30am-
3.30pm. Closed public holidays. Villa Finale tentative opening date
