Home to hundreds of mammals, birds and reptiles, the Sanctuary has one of
the largest collections of Australian native wildlife in the world. Established in
the 1940s, the Sanctuary has attracted millions of visitors throughout its
history and continues to provide opportunities to get closer to Australia’s
amazing wildlife.
Open: daily 8am–5pm, (closed Christmas Day, open from 1pm Anzac day).
Discounted entry fees apply to all National Trust members. Free entry to
National Trust Green Guardian members.
Wolston House

A rare, surviving, early Queensland sandstone and brick farmhouse, Wolston
House was built in 1852 for Dr Stephen Simpson, the first Moreton Bay
Commissioner for Crown Lands. The house is constructed of sandstone and
brick and situated on a rural site.
Open: 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month. Groups by appointment.
Moons Reserve Moons Lane, Brookfield

This reserve honours Brookfield pioneers Thomas & Susan Moon, parents of
William R. Moon the first president of the National Trust of Queensland in
1964.

Brennan & Geraghty’s Store Museum
64 Lennox Street, Maryborough

Established in 1871, this large grocery store was operated by one family for
over 100 years. Its intact interior houses a collection of more than 100,000
items, all original to the store. Unsold stock from the 1890s to 1920s, as well
as historic trading records and advertising material are on display.

Royal Bull’s Head Inn Brisbane Street, Drayton (Toowoomba)

The Inn (c.1859), is one of the earliest buildings in the Toowoomba area,
and was a welcome oasis for travellers, as well as being used for meetings,
auctions and social functions. The rooms are furnished of a style common
during the 1870s, downstairs represents the visitor’s accommodation and
upstairs the working men's rooms. Two rooms survive in original condition.
