The reserve consists of 5 acres of woodland and paths connected to
Railway Trail. There are magnificent examples of Bermuda cedars and
the area offers excellent bird watching. Adjacent to the reserve is the
property of Springfield, and excellent example of plantation-style
Bermudian architecture. Springfield houses the Sandys Community
Centre.

donated in 1983 by the Ingersoll family. The two islands are reserves
for birds and other important wildlife.
